The British Horseacing Authority (BHA) has today announced that the Listed Silver Vase Mares’ Chase, part of Doncaster’s abandoned card on Friday 29 December, will be staged at the track on Tuesday 9 January 2018.

The race will be run for £30,000, which will include contributions from the BHA’s Development Fund and Horserace Betting Levy Board’s (HBLB) Race Incentive Fund.

The race, which will be an additional contest forming a seven-race card, will keep its original conditions which can be viewed via the BHA racing admin site www.2.racingadmin.co.uk.

Entries will close, along with the rest of the races for the fixture, at 12 noon on Wednesday 3 January, and will declare as normal at the 24 hour stage.

Stuart Middleton, Racing Operations Manager at the BHA, said:

“It is good news that we can re-stage this contest, which has become an integral part of the burgeoning pattern of races in place for jumping mares.

“Thanks to Arena Racing Company and the HBLB for their assistance in getting the race re-staged for what will hopefully be another competitive and exciting renewal.”
