Due to the prolonged period of dry weather and after consultation with the Jockey Club and the BHB, the Taunton Fixture scheduled to take place on Thursday October 16th, 2003, has today been abandoned.

Towcester Racecourse has been granted an extra fixture on that date and will stage the same races as previously advertised to take place at Taunton, with minor distance alterations where necessary. The race times and running order will remain unaltered.

The seven races at Towcester will close as normal at noon on Saturday, October 11th.
