The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that its marketing arm Careers in Racing has launched a new video to display and promote the wide variety of jobs available in racing.

‘Team Racing’ aims to showcase the varied career options that working in racing provides from all that are involved throughout the various stages of a racehorses career to the roles on a racecourse that make a raceday happen.

The video will be used in targeted digital marketing campaigns as well as to a more widespread general audience and has been created to be an engaging, accessible and exciting way to promote working in racing.

Zoe Elliott, Head of Careers Marketing and Recruitment at the BHA, said:

“As the last classic of the season is upon us it is a great time to reflect on the many job roles involved in producing and training horses for the race meeting and the team involved at the racecourse.    When we talk to students, job seekers and careers advisors their initial view is limited to Racing = Jockey, and whilst of course we celebrate the role of the Jockey in our sport, there are so many more careers.  Seeing all the options can really inspire people to find out more.

“From developing the staff to care for the horses, to the team involved at the racecourse to make it happen, our Team Racing video highlights that whatever your skills may be, there is a job in our great industry which will play to them.”
