TRANSFER OF WOLVERHAMPTON’S FRIDAY CARD TO SOUTHWELL

07 Jan 2003 Pre-2014 Releases

The British Horseracing Board (BHB) can today announce that agreement has been reached with Arena Leisure to transfer Friday’s meeting at Wolverhampton to Southwell. The Arena Leisure Executive continue to be concerned about the degree of frost that has penetrated the fibresand at Wolverhampton and cannot be totally confident that the track will be fit for racing on Friday. As a result, and in the overall interests of racing, the decision has been taken to transfer the meeting to Southwell to ensure its survival.

All existing entries will stand and forty-eight hour declarations will be taken under the normal timescale.

The BHB would like to thank Arena Leisure for their co-operation in securing this transfer of venue.
