Us Ambassador Elected Honorary Jockey Club Member

At the Jockey Club Meeting held on Friday 19th October William S Farish was elected an Honorary Member of the Jockey Club.

Earlier this year William Farish was appointed the US Ambassador to Britain. He is also one of America’s leading owner/breeders and owns Lane’s End Farms, one of the country’s leading stud farms.

Lane’s End sponsor races on both sides of the Atlantic, including the Greenham Stakes at Newbury. William Farish currently has three horses in training in this country, all with John Gosden. One of them, Music Club, won on her debut at Newmarket on Friday.

Christopher Spence, Senior Steward of the Jockey Club, said: “We are very honoured that William Farish has agreed to being an Honorary Member of the Jockey Club. His knowledge and experience of racing and breeding is recognised worldwide”
