ALMERINA (IRE), Uttoxeter, 6th June 2000, The Houghton Plc Novices’ Handicap Hurdle Race

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, ALMERINA (IRE), ridden by Steve Wynne and trained by John Mackie, as compared to the filly`s previous runs in which she had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, Mrs I Sessions, representing the trainer had said that she had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by ALMERINA (IRE).

Having viewed video recordings of the filly`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

GRUB STREET, Thirsk, 5th June 2000, The Saltersgate Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, GRUB STREET, ridden by Dean Mernagh and trained by Mel Brittain, as compared to the colt`s previous runs in which he had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that he had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by GRUB STREET.

Having viewed video recordings of the colt`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

NORTH OF KALA (IRE), Salisbury, 13th June, The Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, NORTH OF KALA (IRE) ridden by Amir Quinn and trained by Gary Moore, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, the trainer had said that NORTH OF KALA (IRE), whose confidence had been boosted by a recent win over hurdles, had appreciated the firmer ground on this occasion.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

BAHAMAS (IRE), Redcar, 13th June, The Salmanazar Handicap Stakes

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, BAHAMAS (IRE), ridden by George Duffield and trained by Sir Mark Prescott, as compared to the gelding`s previous runs in which it had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, Mr Archer, representing the trainer had said that BAHAMAS (IRE) had been gelded over the winter and had appreciated the step up in trip on this occasion.

Having viewed video recordings of the gelding`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.

The Stewards of the Jockey Club considered the report of the enquiry into the running of the winner, TIME VALLY, ridden by Paul Doe and trained by Simon Dow, as compared to the filly`s previous runs in which she had never been placed.

At the enquiry on the racecourse, Mr C Newman, representing the trainer had said that he had no explanation for the apparent improvement in form shown by TIME VALLY.

Having viewed video recordings of the filly`s previous runs, the Stewards decided not to refer the case to the Disciplinary Committee.
